A case file for every platform, opened on the date it was checked
A trading platform arrives online as a claim. It says what it does, what it can do for you and how quickly you can start, and every word of that is written by the party asking for your money. WCC Proceedings exists to put a second document beside the first. For each platform we open a case file, write down the claim in the words used to make it, record what public sources returned when we went looking, and date the whole thing so a reader knows how fresh it is.
The word case is an editorial term here and nothing more. We are not a court, a regulator or a law firm, we have no power to compel anyone to answer, and we bring no proceedings against anybody. What we do is keep a record with dates on it, which is the one thing the marketing side of this industry never provides.
What a finding contains
Every file on this site follows the same nine sections in the same order. The claim comes first, clearly labelled as the platform's own account of itself. Then the results of the checks, including the ones that returned nothing. Then the list of matters not in evidence, the counterparty question of who would actually be holding a deposit, the tests a reader can run alone in twenty minutes, the risk that belongs to the product rather than to the brand, and finally the status of the case with the conditions that would change it.
The order is fixed on purpose. Two files can be read side by side without hunting for the paragraph that matters, and a reader who only has a minute can take the verdict box and leave.
Latest findings
Why most files end at unknown
A verdict of unknown is the most common outcome on this site, and it is a result rather than a shrug. Licences are granted to companies, not to brand names, so a register search cannot begin until a service says which company it is. When no company is named anywhere a visitor can read, the check stops, and stopping is what we publish.
That answer is more useful than it first looks. A reader who learns that nobody has been named has learned the single most decisive fact available about the offer in front of them, and has learned it before any money moved.
What you will not find here
No ratings out of ten, no star scores, no best of lists and no ranking tables. A number implies a measurement, and in these cases the only thing we could measure is the size of the gap in the public record. We also do not invent detail to fill a page: licence numbers, company names, countries, founding dates, fee levels, user counts and app store ratings appear in a file only where a named public source carries them and the date of that source is printed.
